Rediscovering Life’s Beauty

My life hit the brakes on August 3rd—in the best way possible. After a difficult past few months in Louisiana, where it felt like life was collapsing on top of me, I pushed through because I had something to look forward to: a light at the end of the tunnel. When I arrived at the big yellow house, I had no idea what awaited me; all I could do was thank God that I made it.

As the weeks pass, I find myself learning and growing at such a rapid pace, yet life feels so serene. I’m rediscovering how to truly experience life, rather than merely survive it. I’m finding joy in the minute, peace amidst chaos, and the love of God in the people around me. My lense of life has shifted from one of melancholy and angst to one of clarity and tranquility. My FrancisCorps experience is guiding me toward becoming the person I’ve always dreamed of being.
