A Peek into my Journal

I came to the decision, before fully pursuing my career, that I wanted to spend some intentional time focusing on God. With that in mind, I began looking into different programs online. After several opportunities fell through, I wondered where God was leading me. Then I discovered FrancisCorps, and it felt like everything I had been praying for had come together in one place. Looking back, I can see God’s gentle guidance in bringing me here.

Strengthening my relationship with God was my priority, but the FrancisCorps mission helped me realize that serving others was the path I wanted to take to do so. I said “yes” to FrancisCorps not only because of this desire to serve, but also because it offered me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of Christ, embrace simplicity, and live in a community where I could share my faith. 

I am very excited about our service sites, but I think I am even more excited to witness how each one of us will transform and learn to express our faith in new ways throughout this experience. Even in these first few steps of the program, my expectations have been exceeded. I can already see God present in both my service site and my community, especially in my roommates.
