FrancisCorps 14 Arriving Soon

August 16, 2012

Jordan takes on the oven and wins!

It’s been a long week of preparing the FrancisCorps Syracuse house for the coming of the new batch of volunteers. Sr. Caryn Crook, Jordan Differding and Friar Rick have been busy! The cleaning is almost done, the beds have to be made and the curtains put back up. The orientation process has been reviewed and updated and we are almost there. It is so exciting!
The official arrival of the 10 volunteers is on Saturday. The will arrive by planes, buses and automobiles. This great day will include lots of moving of boxes through the FC house. We will be ready! The day concludes with a “travellers’ picnic” when the new volunteers and family or friends can experience Syracuse’s Dinosaur BBQ and get to know one another.
All are welcome to the Franciscan Church of the Assumption in Syracuse on Sunday, August 19th at 9:30 am for the Commissioning Mass of FC 14. Friar Justin Biase, the Minister Provincial of the friars will preside at the liturgy.
