The arrival of spring always brings to the fore a newness in the world around us. As trees begin to bud and flowers come into bloom we see what has been waiting to be revealed for so long. Truly one of the most rewarding parts of working with FrancisCorps is watching a similar transformation begin to be visible within the volunteers. After months of life changing service to some of the most vulnerable around us and living and praying in a deep and meaningful way together, the members of FrancisCorps 19 are truly transforming before our eyes. They are beginning to see the world in a new way. You can hear it in the way they talk about each other, the people they serve, and especially in how they are talking about their future. The FrancisCorps experience has taken root in their hearts as has a new sense of the need to serve others in all that they do.
In the coming months as their experience draws to a close the volunteers will work to integrate this new sense of purpose into who they are and how they will live their lives after FrancisCorps. Eventually their time here will draw to a close but the experience will remain with them. Years later these experiences continue to inform how FrancisCorps volunteers live. Each and every volunteer who has experienced FrancisCorps has been changed by the experience, but it is because of your amazing support and generosity that the FrancisCorps experience is made possible and for this we are forever grateful!
Next year will mark our 20th anniversary as an organization. Twenty years of providing an opportunity to participate in an experience of essential service, deep prayer, and intentional community that changes the lives of those served as well as the volunteers, but we need your help to ensure that FrancisCorps’ 20 year tradition of service continues long into the future!
Our goal for this year’s Annual Appeal is $15,000. You can click here to make a donation. Each gift is such a blessing, so Thank You in advance!
Our benefactors, friends, and supporters are always in our prayers and please keep the volunteers in yours as they transition into and out of their year of service.
