It’s all a gift. Read how this short statement not only shaped Marie’s year of service with FrancisCorps but also her experiences since completing the program.
Everything is a gift. During my year of FrancisCorps, we posted those words by the doors of the volunteer house in Syracuse so that we’d see them every day. But it wasn’t until after I left FrancisCorps that I realized just how deeply they had been grooved into my soul. FrancisCorps didn’t just give me the experience of a lifetime. It gave me the lens for a lifetime. And that lens is gift. Each and every page I read, each and every class I attend, each and every student I encounter is a gift that somehow mysteriously and creatively reflects the overflowing and abundant gift of an overflowing and abundant God.
