Volunteers

Amy Aubrecht, 23, is from East Aurora, NY and a 2010 graduate of Cornell University where she majored in Psychology and Spanish. Amy has worked as a camp counselor, language consultant and has spent time volunteering at therapeutic riding centers.  She studied abroad in Seville, Spain where she also tutored international graduate students. She and her family are great friends of the Friars in the Buffalo area!  Amy will minister as an Assistant to the Core Members of L’Arche in Syracuse.  “I am working toward becoming a responsible citizen and caring woman.  I hope to be a loving wife and mother.  And perhaps, most importantly, I strive to be a Catholic who leads by her actions, causing others to stop and wonder what keeps me centered, optimistic, and at peace, despite the hopelessness that the world often provokes.  This personal goal is directly aligned with the FrancisCorps program motto: ‘Preach the Gospel.  If necessary, use words.’”
