Molly LeBlanc-Medeiros is 22 years old and she comes to us from Fairhaven, MA. Molly graduated from Georgetown University in May earning a BA in Anthropology and Justice and Peace Studies. Molly has volunteered with the Community Council for the Homeless and has served as an educational intern in New Bedford, CN. She organized and led an alternative Native American experience in the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008. Molly studied abroad in Canterbury, England and has also traveled extensively throughout all of Europe. She will minister as an assistant at the Dorothy Day House, a shelter for women in Syracuse. “I find that I am looking forward to this time after graduation, when working with the poor will not be something that I squeeze into my schedule between my job and my academic work. I feel odd professing a strong urge to volunteer with the poor when I have never been able to give this work the time it deserves. Nevertheless, I think that all of my studies and all the rest of my life experiences have been bringing me to this moment when I can put all I have learned into action. I choose to do so through FrancisCorps.”
