Volunteers

Kinzie Kiser, 22, is from Argonia, KS and a May 2009 graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she earned a BS in Biological Sciences and Spanish.  Like many of the other FrancisCorps volunteers, Kinzie  has had much volunteer experience at Notre Dame.  She has worked for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, an Emergency Room volunteer in South Bend, and was a peer advisor and spiritual assistant in her residence hall.  She was also a presentation leader for Notre Dame’s Right to Life group.  She plans to be a physician.  Kinzie will serve in San Jose, Costa Rica at Fundeso, a clinic for women with cancer. “As a FrancisCorps volunteer, I expect to learn more about myself and a lot about others, to grow spiritually, intellectually and emotionally, to become very familiar with a new culture, to overcome challenges, to meet wonderful people who will be life-long friends, and to become more familiar with the healthcare system.”
