Angelique Snyder, 22, is a May graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she majored in Psychology. Angelique is from Laredo, TX and her friends and family call her Jelly! She has traveled extensively in Italy, Spain and France and has volunteered in Mexico at a special needs camp for traumatized and special needs children where she was a ‘foster mother.’ She has also been a camp counselor in Iowa. Angelique will minister as an assistant director of the Day Care center at Casa Maria in San José, Costa Rica. “While the service work that I have done in the past has helped those in need, I have never lived and worked full time for the poor. I would like to immerse myself with the people and place I am serving. I love the ways and teachings of St. Francis as well as St. Clare. I have visited Assisi and both of these saints have the values that I admire and aspire to attain. They both lived and worked with the poor and I hope to do the same in FrancisCorps.”
