Jeannette Rowland is another FrancisCorps volunteer who hails from Catholic University. Jeannette graduated from Catholic University in May. She is 22 years old and grew up in Sayville, NY. She was a Spanish and History major, the assistant student coordinator for Orientation, and editor for the student newspaper and a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. She too has studied in both Costa Rica and Spain and is fluent in Spanish and French. Jeannette will minister as a Youth Mentor at Vincent House in Syracuse. “I would like my FrancisCorps community to be like a home away from home and a close-knit family. In times of worry or stress, I want to rely on my live-in community for strength and support. In my service, I hope to grow as a person and learn about the place of faith in my daily life. Hopefully this experience will help me become enlightened and guide me down my path.”
