Thomas Robertson is from Chambersburg, PA. He is 22 years old and a May 2010 graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he earned his BA in Anthropology and Pre-Professional Studies. While at ND, Tom was a Resident Assistant and was involved in campus ministry and service learning programs at the Center for Social Concerns on campus. He has also been an operating room nursing assistant in PA and a clinical assistant volunteer in South Bend. He too has done some traveling abroad on a service trip to Uganda and has even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Tom plans a future career in medicine and will be ministering at San Gabriel Clinic in San José, Costa Rica. “FrancisCorps has the attributes and emphasis on Spanish, community, faith, relationships, service and travel that coincide with my desires for personal growth, learning experiences and adventure. FrancisCorps was my first choice for post-graduate service. It will be a chance to live in a simple community and provide me the cultural exposure and relationship-building opportunities I seek prior to attending medical school.”
