Ed Smith is our first volunteer from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA where he graduated in May. He is 22 years old and hails from Lakewood, OH. Ed majored in International Studies and Spanish and is fluent in that language. Besides his involvement with the Army ROTC was also involved in numerous campus wide leadership activities such as the Executive Committee of Student Government and Campus Ministry. He studied in Spain and his service activities took him to Duran, Ecuador and Juarez, Mexico. Ed will certainly use his language skills as a Youth Mentor at Vincent House.

Jim and the volunteers exemplify that. I spoke with other volunteer organizations, but none with the passion or enthusiasm that FrancisCorps offers.”
