“Why do I want to work with the underserved and live a simple life? The quick answer is because I have to. The poor have enabled me to feel blessed and the best way to repay that is by making them feel blessed. There is nothing better in the world than a smile. All I want to do is to let people smile and see that they are blessed too…I hope to learn from other people, the poor, my fellow volunteers, the Franciscans and the surrounding community.”
