Inspiring Young Leaders
The volunteers who come to FrancisCorps for a year certainly make a difference in the lives of the people they serve. But FrancisCorps is not just about the service. The reason the Franciscan Friars started FrancisCorps was to affirm and encourage the role of lay men and women in promoting the ideals and values of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. Our dream was that these Franciscan inspired young adults would take their experience of Franciscan prayer and spirituality, service to the poor and life in community back with them to have a lasting impact on their lives, careers and communities.
We decided to survey the 105 who have gone through the FrancisCorps experience to find out more about what they thought of the impact their year of service had on their lives long-term. The survey was conducted between May 1-10, 2013 and 82 of 105 alums responded which gives us a +/- 5% margin of error and 94% confidence in the results.

How effective was the FrancisCorps experience in communicating the values/spirituality of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi? 86 % responded Very or Extremely Effective.

How helpful was FrancisCorps in developing their spiritual and faith life? 83% responded Very or Extremely helpful.
