When the Franciscan Friars and Sisters meet our FrancisCorps volunteers, their eyes light up with joy! They love FrancisCorps! We are blessed with such tremendous support from our community. On top of that we are blessed with the prayers of some amazing women; the Poor Clares Nuns of St. Clare’s Monastery in Chesterfield, NJ. These Franciscan contemplative women, whose Order was founded by St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi are the spiritual backbone of FrancisCorps. Without them we could do nothing.
We can always use more prayer! Would you consider making a commitment to pray for our volunteers. We would appreciate your praying the rosary, offering a mass or whatever you would like to do. Let us know about it. It means a lot to the volunteers.
The single best way to get new volunteers for FrancisCorps is by word of mouth. Do you know of a young college student who might want to do a year of service after college? This might be a son or daughter, grandchild, great grandchild, niece or nephew or even a neighbor. Don’t be shy, tell them about FrancisCorps. Share our website!
FrancisCorps is funded through the generosity of people like you. Spreading the word about FrancisCorps can also help us with donations. Do you know of a parish group that wants to do something for Lent or Advent? Perhaps they might want to make a donation to FrancisCorps. How about your local Knights of Columbus, Catholic women’s organization or prayer group? Every bit helps. Every donation makes a difference.
