Brother Jim is a native of Syracuse, NY and has been an English and Drama high school teacher, director of Vocations and Formation for his Franciscan
community, director of St. Anthony-on-Hudson Retreat Center, an area coordinator in the Office of Housing and Residential Services at Catholic
University of America and a campus minister at Syracuse University. He has been a professed member of the Order Friars Minor Conventual for 34 years.
In the summer of 2001, he was elected a member of the Leadership Council for his Franciscan Province. Brother Jim is the founder and first director of
FrancisCorps. He holds a BS from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA and an MA from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN.
CO-MINISTERS
Sr. Marcia Barry, OSF Sister Marcia has been a professed member of the Sisters of the Third Franciscan Order for over 30 years.
She has ministered as both a teacher and as a principal at a number of schools in Syracuse as well as in Hoboken, NJ. She is currently a staff
member on the Guidance Department team at Bishop Ludden. Sister Marcia has a BA degree in Elementary Ed from D'Youville College, an MA in
Religious Ed from Aquinas College, an MA in Education from Boston College, and an MSW in Social Work from Marywood University.
Sister Ann Kenyon, OSF Sister Ann is a native of Oswego, NY. In June 2001, she assumed the position of Formation director for her
Community and recently completed a year-long study program for religious formation directors at Catholic Theological Union. Sr. Ann has been a
teacher and mathematics department chair. She has been a professed member of the Sisters of the Third Franciscan Order, Syracuse, NY for 25 years.
Sr.Ann holds a BA from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, an MA from Villanova University, Villanova, PA and an MA from the
Franciscan Institute, St. Bonaventure University, Olean, NY.
Maria T. Pallone
Maria is in her second year as part time Administrative Assistant in the FrancisCorps office. A 2006 graduate of Syracuse University, Maria is now a full time grad student (Elementary / Special Education) at LeMoyne College here in Syracuse.
She also happens to be Brother Jim's niece! She loves sports of all kinds (especially the Yankees).
