Responsibilities:
The Assistant Outreach Co-ordinator will assist directly in the daily operations of the Food Panty and Franciscan NorthsideMinistries. The direct, shared responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Interview and asses needs of pantry clients
- Make and distribute bag lunches
- Establish personal relationships and support Pantry/FNMbenefactors
- Complete required grant funding paperwork and researchnew grant opportunities
- Train and schedule Pantry volunteers
- Participate in the daily maintenance of Food Pantry/FNMareas to provide a safe, clean and welcoming Franciscan environment for allclinets
- Assist and supervise Poverello Health Clinic and LegalClinic services
- Assist and supervise The Open Door coffee and donutsprogram
- Assist in creating and implementing a program topromote non-violence, family values and heathy lifestyles
- Establish a dialogue with drug companies re: existingprograms to provide no cost or low cost medications
- Assist in developing an efficient office managementsystem
- Assist in the development, creation and movingoperation of new Food Pantry/FNM location
