Papal FOMO? Adopt a Cardinal & Pope Alarm

March 9, 2013

Did you know you could be involved in the election of the new Pope?

While most the world is fixated on news from the tiny Vatican City State, you and I are invited to be more than mere spectators. You can participate in the Conclave by praying for the Cardinals who are gathered in Rome.

Adoptacardinal.org is a website where you can sign up to pray for a Cardinal. One will be chosen for you randomly and it will be your job to pray for him that he be open to the Holy Spirit and elect the person best suited to be the Bishop of Rome and Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. Over 400k people have signed up so far.

FOMO? If you are afraid you might miss out on the latest news of the election of the new Pope then don’t forget to set your Pope Alarm at PopeAlarm.com. These folks will either email you or text you the minute the white smoke comes out of the Sistine Chapel. It can take about 40 minutes between when the smoke comes out and when the new Pope appears on the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
