A FrancisCorps Family is a support partner with a FrancisCorps volunteer. This unique year-long partnership unfold in many different ways, including but not limited to the following:
- A welcoming presence at the Travelers' Picnic, Commissioning Liturgy and volunteer house blessing in August
- A special orientation visit to the FrancisCorps volunteer's ministry site
- Participation at St. Francis Day celebrations (October 3-4) with the local Franciscan Community
- A Wednesday evening 'community night' dinner and activity at the volunteer residence
- A 'volunteer with the volunteer' ministry opportunity
- A FrancisCorps families Harvest Dinner and Christmas party
- An opportunity for the Francis Corps volunteer to visit the FrancisCorps family home for rest and relaxation
- A Lenten FrancisCorps Family Retreat Day at a local Franciscan retreat center
- A thanksgiving picnic during the final Transition Retreat at the end of the year.
Each Francis Corps family agrees to provide their FrancisCorps volunteer with prayer and words of encouragement, as well as a financial gift donation to the FrancisCorps program which will be used to cover the costs of the FrancisCorps volunteer's two week Orientation and Training and five yearly program retreats.
In true partnership, the FrancisCorps volunteer and the FrancisCorps Family create Franciscan fellowship. Through sharing in this special journey, they enrich each other's lives and experience what it means to serve one another, as well as the underserved in the Syracuse area.

We are very happy to have such wonderful friends join us in our Franciscan mission and ministry. Many thanks to this year's FrancisCorps Families:
